How the Color Engine Operates

1. Sub-Pixel Loupe

Utilizes hardware-accelerated 2D canvas interpolation to create an ultra-smooth 16x zoom viewport with grid pixel alignment, allowing you to isolate exact single pixels even on high-DPI screens.

2. K-Means Quantization

Performs accelerated spatial color clustering in RGB/Lab vector space to group hundreds of thousands of image pixels into dominant palette swatches with automatic duplicate merging.

3. Perceptual Uniformity

Converts colors between sRGB, Display P3, OKLCH, and CIELAB so that gradient interpolation and shade generators exhibit uniform perceived brightness without dead gray zones.
