1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or utilizing Google Color Picker (available at colourpickeronline.com and related mirrors), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website.

2. Ownership of Generated Palettes, Gradients & Exports

We assert zero ownership, copyright, or intellectual property claims over color codes, swatches, harmonious palettes, gradient CSS, or design token configuration files (Tailwind CSS v4, CSS Variables, Figma Tokens JSON, SCSS) generated by you through our suite.

You are free to utilize all generated assets in open-source projects, proprietary commercial software, branding, graphic design, prints, and client deliverables with no licensing fees and no mandatory attribution.

3. Free Use License & Permitted Uses

We grant you a worldwide, revocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the website, software interface, and color calculation algorithms for personal, educational, research, and commercial purposes.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following unauthorized actions:

  • Launching denial-of-service (DoS) or automated flooding attacks against our hosting infrastructure.
  • Framing, proxying, or redistributing the website with malicious third-party adware, cryptominers, or misleading deceptive branding.
  • Attempting to bypass client-side rate limits or security mechanisms.

5. Client-Side Image Sandboxing & User Media

Because all images uploaded or pasted into the canvas are processed entirely within your local browser memory and never transmitted to our servers, you retain full legal responsibility for having the necessary rights or licenses to open and inspect your media files.

6. Color Precision & Hardware Display Disclaimer

While our mathematical conversions adhere to standardized color space equations (sRGB, CIE $L^*a^*b^*$, OKLCH, CMYK FOGRA39 approximations, and WCAG 2.1 relative luminance formulas), physical visual appearance can vary between different monitor calibrations, ambient lighting conditions, and wide-gamut profiles (e.g. Display P3 vs. standard sRGB).

For critical commercial print workflows or physical textile dye production, we recommend validating values with hardware spectrophotometers or physical pantone swatch books.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

The website, color tools, and algorithms are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Google Color Picker, its operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Amendments & Contact Information

We reserve the right to revise these Terms & Conditions as necessary. By continuing to use the service after updates are posted, you agree to the revised terms.

For questions or legal inquiries regarding these terms, please contact us via our Contact Form or via email at support@colourpickeronline.com.
